National Conference on “Artificial Intelligence for Academics (A4A Conference)
Sunkoshi Kalika Multiple Campus is a community-based higher education institution committed to expanding access to quality education in rural Nepal. The campus was initially established in 2064 B.S. in Kathmandu under the name Sandipani Community Campus by a group of dedicated academicians with the vision of promoting higher education and academic excellence. Later, following the approval of the Executive Council of Tribhuvan University, the campus was relocated to Okhaldhunga District and renamed Sunkoshi Kalika Multiple Campus. Since then, the campus has been operating as a community campus affiliated with Tribhuvan University. Currently located in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality–3, Okhaldhunga, the campus has been contributing significantly to the development of higher education opportunities for students from rural and disadvantaged backgrounds. The campus offers several academic programs under Tribhuvan University, including the four-year Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programs at the undergraduate level, as well as the Master of Education (M.Ed.) program at the graduate level. In order to further expand academic opportunities, the campus is also in the process of introducing new programs such as Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Arts (MA). Additionally, the campus aims to launch technical and vocational education and training programs under the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Nepal, in the near future. As a non-profit community educational institution, Sunkoshi Kalika Multiple Campus is firmly committed to realizing its motto, 'Education for Excellence.' The campus strives to ensure academic quality while fostering the holistic development of students. Along with academic activities, the institution encourages students to participate in various co-curricular and extracurricular activities, including cultural, educational, and sports events, which help develop leadership, creativity, and social responsibility. The progress and achievements of the campus are the result of the collective efforts of committed academicians, policymakers, faculty members, staff, and local community members. Their continuous dedication has enabled the campus to grow steadily and expand its educational services. However, in order to further strengthen its academic infrastructure, expand programs, and enhance the quality of education, the campus requires additional financial support and grants from government agencies, development partners, and grant-making institutions. Such support will greatly assist the campus in strengthening its role as a sustainable, non-profit community institution dedicated to educational development in rural Nepal.
